Calling all country music fans—this is one show you won’t want to miss out on. Buckeye Country Superfest is returning to the Ohio Stadium in Columbus on the weekend of June 22nd and 23rd and is sure to be a wildly good time.
Country music was one of the fastest growing genres for streaming music in 2023, growing almost 25% from 2022, and 2024 has so far seen the same surge in interest in country music. From more approachable country singers, like Zach Bryan and Morgan Wallen, to tried-and-true musicians like Beyonce and Lana Del Rey dropping country albums out of the blue, the genre seems to be at an all-time high and shows no signs of slowing down.
All About the Buckeye Country Superfest
Without a doubt one of the biggest gatherings for country music fans in the Buckeye state and beyond, the Buckeye Country Superfest had its beginnings in 2015 at the Ohio Stadium where it gathered some of the biggest names in country—and all of their screaming fans—in one ultimate showstopping weekend. Before the show begins, the music festival offers an official tailgate outside of the Ohio Stadium—and what better way to get country music fans amped up for a festival? The tailgate features games, drinks, and tons of food options from central Ohio’s favorite food trucks.
For those who have never been to the Ohio Stadium—or the Shoe as it’s commonly known by—it’s one of the biggest stadiums out there, holding a whopping total of almost 103,000 seats. And you can bet that tons of those will be filled with fans, rowdy for their favorite acts to come on and hear their favorite songs throughout what’s sure to be the perfect summer day.
The 2024 Lineup
The Buckeye Country Superfest promises to bring some of the biggest and brightest stars of country music to Columbus, and their 2024 lineup is no different. The top headliner for this year is Zach Bryan. While Zach Bryan has been around for a handful of years, he’s only amassed a following of fans in recent years with 2022’s American Heartbreak and the subsequent follow-up album in 2023, self-titled Zach Bryan. He was even named Billboard’s Top New Artist in 2023 for his self-titled album and has constantly been praised for both his raw, unrefined sound and his songwriting capabilities which set him apart from other mainstream country artists.
Other country artists performing as part of this year’s lineup are Charley Crockett, Levi Turner, Turnpike Troubadours, Billy Strings, Charley Wesley Godwin, and 49 Winchester—all who have huge followings in their own rights. With a star-studded lineup, the 2024 Buckeye Country Superfest is an event you won’t want to miss this summer if you’re a fan of country music, a likeminded crowd, and good times in the heart of Ohio.
