The Ohio College of Fine Arts will once again host a rite of the Halloween season, when it brings back Hallowpalooza 2019, a concert, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.at Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, 33 University Terrace in Athens.
One of the largest holiday celebrations in Athens, this concert provides a family-friendly alternative to the wilder Halloween activities uptown.
If you’re a lover of serious music, but like a dash of fun to lighten things up, then Hallowpalooza is for you. You’ll get a chance to appreciate the high caliber of work the School of Music contributes every semester. You may hear anything from favorite video game tunes, to selections from Harry Potter movies, and much more.
Many music groups collaborate for the concert, including the Ohio University Symphony Orchestra, and some choral and instrumental groups.
So if the scary side of Halloween is not your bag, you can still find a way to have some fun with this OU Halloween-season tradition. No need to shiver alone in your one bedroom apartment Athens Ohio; join other music lovers at the School of Music’s Hallowpalooza.
