Most days, you’ll find the lion’s share of activities at the OU Convocation Center trending toward basketball and volleyball. That’s set to change on April 9 when the athletes take a step back and let other types of endeavor come to the fore.
Look out for art installations, the results of scientific studies and some amazing inventions.
For the last decade and a half, undergrads, grads and medical students have gathered to present original work at OU’s annual Student Research and Creative Activity Expo. Among the projects students have presented in the past are documentary films, inventions such as robotic lawn mowers, cutting-edge theater costumes, and research presentations on education, astrophysics, medicine and environmental science. Last year, more than 800 students participated.
