For starters, there’s the Feb. 16 presentation of the musical, “The Color Purple”, based on the novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker. The show, which is in the midst of its national Broadway tour, and was the 2016 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival, features a Grammy-winning score with jazz, gospel, ragtime and blues.
