By fall, you’re probably settling into the rhythm of being a college student if you’re a freshman, and if you’re an upper classman, you’re well into the groove. Nevertheless, you likely miss your folks and even your siblings. So when’s the optimum time for them to visit?
Ohio University designates four weekends a year as family weekends. Students and their families are encouraged to arrange visits during these times, so they can attend lectures, performances, sporting events and recreational activities, while getting to know Ohio U’s campus. Here’s the schedule:
- Sept. 20-22: Parents’ Weekend
- Nov. 1-3: Dads’ Weekend
- Feb. 7-9, 2020: Siblings’ Weekend
- April 3-5, 2020: Moms’ Weekend
Knowing about family weekends well ahead means you can make plans about where to go, and what to do. You can also get your Ohio University rental housing cleaned up well ahead of the visit, impressing the folks at how mature you’ve become since living on your own.
