Students attending one of OU’s branch campuses who wish to relocate to Athens are known as relocating students. Relocation is available for any student who has earned at least 12 credit hours of coursework at a regional campus. This coursework may not be in remedial or developmental courses. Those with fewer than 12 credit hours should refer to the Athens Campus admission guidelines.
Those who are eligible are encouraged to participate in Relocate Day, where students can review academic requirements for their programs. If you’re planning to change your major, you’ll have an opportunity to learn how to go about it. Relocate Day also focuses on life in Athens. This fall, Relocate Day is Friday, October 25.
If you’re under 23, and you can’t demonstrate two full years’ attendance at a college or university after graduating from high school, then you’ll have to live in Ohio-U-owned housing and chip in for the meal plan.
If you’re 23 or older, or if under 23, can demonstrate two full years’ attendance at an institution of higher learning, you’re free to find you own rentals close to OU.
